Eda Tüzemen Eda Tüzemen International Education Management

Eda was born in 1974 in Istanbul and has a BA degree in Foreign Language Education, an MSc degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Middle East Technical University (METU) and an additional MSc degree in Educational Management and Supervision from Ahmet Yesevi University. She has 20 years of professional experience - 6 years in universities, 8 years in national and international NGOs and non-profit organisations, 2 years in public sector and 4 years free-lance.

In addition to her teaching and school improvement experience, she was involved in two UNICEF projects (Child-Friendly Schools and Child-Friendly Cities), has worked for four EU funded projects; “Support to Basic Education” (2007); Technical Assistance for Promoting Gender Equality in Education” (2015-2016); “Technical Assistance for Promoting Lifelong Learning in Turkey-II” (2016-2017); and “Technical Assistance to the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) in Strengthening the Institutional Capacity and Improving the Disaster and Emergency Management System” (2018). In these projects, she worked as Monitoring and Evaluation Expert, School Management and Improvement Expert, Training Coordinator, Training Expert, Material Development and Reporting Expert, Vocational Education and Training Expert, Training Policy Development Expert.

Eda has proven experience in training policy development in disaster and emergency management, curriculum development, standardisation in education, school improvement, teacher competencies, adult education and gender equality in education.
