Genny Dimitrakopoulou Security Policy Expert, Crisis and Resilience Management
Genny is a specialist in EU security policy, cyber resilience, crisis communication, and multi hazard preparedness, with more than a decade of experience supporting complex EU funded security, CBRNe, and critical infrastructure projects. Her work spans regulatory analysis, strategic communications, dissemination leadership, security and cyber security training to cross border security and crisis management initiatives.
She has served as senior advisor in multiple European consortia, contributing to the design and delivery of resilience frameworks, cyber CBRNe preparedness tools, and practitioner focused training programmes. Her expertise bridges EU law, cyber security policy, crisis management doctrine, and public communication strategies for high risk environments, enabling effective coordination between technical teams, policymakers, and operational responders.
Genny's portfolio includes advisory roles in cyber physical resilience and multi agency crisis communication. She has contributed to EU level initiatives on critical infrastructure protection, civil protection cooperation, and emerging technology governance, and has supported dissemination and impact strategies for projects addressing cyber enabled CBRNe threats, maritime security, and situational awareness systems. She holds advanced degrees in EU Law, European Politics and Governance, and Southeast European Studies, alongside advanced certifications in crisis management, cyber security, and CBRNe threats' mitigation. She lectures on EU law with an emphasis on fundamental rights' protection and is now serving as a member of the International CBRNe R&I Conference Scientific Committee on Risks and Crises Management. She has authored an e-book on Mediterranean Security and has published multiple peer reviewed papers. She is also an international delegate and expert at the MediaPoli Organisation for Police Mediation.
