Laura has a long history of experience in global health security, CBRN preparedness, Chemical Countermeasure innovation, with over 3 decades of work spanning biotechnology, defence health, and life sciences strategy.

Her career has focussed on bridging scientific research with operational readiness ensuring front line protection to high toxicity threats and health care systems to be best equipped with effective evidence based tools to manage CBRN risks. Laura has held senior leadership roles in international pharmaceutical organizations, guiding medical affairs, scientific engagement, product development and translational education across multiple preparedness and response profiles.

Recognized for the ability to integrate policy, science and practices she has collaborated extensively with defence, health and government agencies across global government institutions. Her work includes shaping response guidelines, stockpiling strategies and fostering partnerships for collaboration with academia, NGOs, government and industry.

Previously served as an Aerospace Engineering Officer with the Royal Canadian Airforce, Laura holds advanced degrees and certifications from institutions such as Royal Military College of Canada, St. Andrews University, University of Bath, Cambridge University, and London School of Economics.
